FORT LAUDERDALE, FL-- Coral Shores Realty has been selected for the 2013 Best of Fort Lauderdale Award in the Realtors category by the Fort Lauderdale Award Program.
Fort Lauderdale’s Centennial in 2011 also marked the 25th anniversary of the City’s long-range planning (“visioning”) process, started in 1982, and the bond issue passed in 1986 (the City’s 75th Birthday), which planned and funded many of the things that make Fort Lauderdale special today.
When I ran for the County Commission in 2010, I had a plan, and that was the 4/4/4 Plan. It included four strategic issues to assist in rebuilding our local economy. One of those issues was to work to bring a Convention Center Hotel to Broward County. I went on to point out the obvious to those of us who live here in South Florida: We live in a perfect area for business conferences, annual meetings, and international expositions. Projects like a convention center hotel are needed to bring jobs to the area as well as market Broward County effectively.
The co-worker two cubicles down who appears to be nodding off may not be indulging an afternoon nap after all.
Instead, he or she could be in a state of meditation, and the bosses likely are happy about that – or at least they should be.
