The center has officially kicked off the holidays with the arrival of Santa, who is now available for photos through Dec. 24 on the Upper Level near Macy’s during select hours. Festive activities are planned throughout the season including special Santa experiences like sensory-friendly Santa and pet photos with the big man in red, as well as a holiday concert series and more.

Sensory-Friendly Santa, Saturday, December 2, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Santa welcomes children of all ages and abilities! This compassionate, sensory-friendly event held in partnership with Autism Speaks allows families with children with all spectrums of special needs to experience the time-honored tradition of a Santa visit, in a comforting environment prior to public hours. Accommodations are made to support the sensory, physical, and developmental needs of this special audience. A portion of proceeds from photo packages purchased will benefit Arc Broward. Pet Photos with Santa, select dates in November and December, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Fetch a photo of your pet with Santa as part of Santa Paw’s Pet Photo Nights at the Galleria at Fort Lauderdale on Nov. 19, 20, 27 and 28 plus Dec. 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on the Upper Level near Macy’s. Holiday Concert Series, December 2, 9, 15, 16 and 22 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Delight in the sounds of the season during The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale’s holiday concert series, featuring festive holiday performances on select dates. Shoppers can take a break from their holiday shopping to enjoy the following performances, all from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Palm Court: Dec. 2 – Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus; Dec. 9 – Zone 3; Dec. 15 – South Florida Symphony Orchestra; Dec. 16 – Zone 3 and Dec. 22 – UM Frost Holiday Carolers.
Menorah Lighting, December 5, at 5:30 p.m.
The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale will host a public menorah lighting on Dec. 5, at 5:30 p.m., near H&M. The event is organized by The Chabad Lubavitch of Fort Lauderdale.
Salvation Army Angel Tree, November 27 through December 16, Upper Level near Macy’s
Visitors are encouraged to give back this holiday season through the Salvation Army Angel Tree, which will be on display on the Upper Level near Macy’s. Shoppers may contribute and purchase gifts for “angels” Nov. 27 through Dec. 16.
