60th Anniversary of the Iconic Film Where the Boys Are Celebrated with a Photo Restrospective by History Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – History Fort Lauderdale, proud steward of our community’s past by making our heritage accessible and engaging to residents and visitors, will present, “Where the Boys Are,” an exclusive 60th anniversary film photo exhibition at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. Opening on Wednesday, December 3, this free retrospective will feature 40 curated historical and never-before-seen oversized images chronicling the making of and local star-studded premiere (December 28, 1960) of the landmark film that cemented the City of Fort Lauderdale as a worldwide Spring Break destination. The walk-through exhibit will be available for the public to view near Swarovski until January 3, 2021.


Broward Center to Take Part in the #SOSFEST Three-Day Virtual Festival

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – YouTube Music and the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) today announce Save Our Stages Festival, #SOSFEST, a three-day virtual music festival featuring all original content on Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 18. The festival will be hosted by Reggie Watts and feature performances from 35 artists recorded live from more than 25 independent concert venues across the United States. The festival will include a performance by Grammy®-nominee Sebastián Yatra from the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. 


Mods Selected as the Only Theater in Florida to Premiere Christopher Nolan’s Sci-fi Action Spectacle Tenet In 70mm Projection

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) has announced it will premiere Tenet, the highly anticipated sci-fi action spectacle by award-winning filmmaker Christopher Nolan. MODS is the only theater in Florida that is running screenings on IMAX® 70 mm film. The film is slated to premiere on September 3.
