26th Annual Walk for the Animals to Benefit the Humane Society of Broward County and a Chance to Win a Year of Purina ONE Pet Food

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- On March 5, 2016 the Humane Society of Broward County will celebrate its 26th annual Walk for the Animals.  Last year’s Walk was a huge success and over $570,000 net was raised and we hope to raise even more in 2016!

The Walk for the Animals, presented by VCA Animal Hospitals and the PETCO Foundation, is the Humane Society of Broward County's largest annual fundraiser. The funds raised from this event help the HSBC to continue its mission of helping animals and educating the community. Your participation will help rescue, shelter and care for thousands of animals in need, and help them find good homes.

Don’t miss this incredible event, set to take place on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Huizenga Plaza in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. You don’t need a dog to join in the fun! The walk is a fabulous way to meet fellow animal lovers all while raising money for a great cause. With fun for the whole family and a complimentary pancake breakfast provided by IHOP, this event is fun for all ages!

There are a number of ways to get involved and help the HSBC reach their $600,000 goal. Participants can create a personal fundraising page  and ask friends, family and co-workers to make donations.
