Broward County Invited to Take Steps during Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America’s Annual Event

Fort Lauderdale, Fla - South Floridians are invited to lace up those shoes and join hundreds of supporters during the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) Take Steps Fort Lauderdale Walk. The annual walk for a cure is the nation’s largest event dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases, mainly Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and begins April 30, 2106 at 3:00 p.m. in the Huizenga Plaza.

Toyota expands national family learning program to 3 Broward County sites

SUNRISE, Fla. – The National Center for Families Learning (NCFL), in partnership with Toyota and Broward County Public Schools (BCPS), today unveiled a unique family learning program. This innovative, two-generation model called Toyota Family Learning is a solution to the educational challenges facing low-income and diverse families. BCPS received a three-year, $175,000 grant from Toyota and NCFL to launch the program.
